I am coming out to Los Cristianos in a couple of weeks & last night I was speaking to a friend who has just returned from their & he was on about a bar called '' Big Bens'' in Los Cristianos and says it's way past the place where the Sunday market is but I can't place itany help would be appreciated.
Easy to find...when you get to where the market is, imagine a line about mid-way between market and the Arona Gran Hotel 9running from sea inland). From the sea-front walk turn in to the main road that runs parallel. Big Ben (nice pub, very relaxing, good beer) is just opposite.
Or, if you walk along the sea-front wall from town centre to the market, just past the Commodoro there is a turn that leads up to the main road. Go to the main road and opposite is Charlies (is that how it's spelt?) - cross over to Charlies side and turn right. Big Ben is less that 100 metres along.
I always pop in to this bar as the bloke with a beard who's always serving is incredibly moody and rude - he's hilarious, Tenerife's own Basil Fawlty. He thanked me once when giving me my change - and I almost fainted! The football scarves on the walls and ceilings look incredibly old, dirty and a real fire hazard, and to honest the place is a complete dump. It's so bad, it's brilliant. Well worth a visit for the sheer rudeness of the man!
